Who is responsible

HowFarIn is run by one person, who decides what is collected and why. Write to hello@howfarin.com about anything on this page.

What is stored

Signing in with Google gives HowFarIn your name and email address. No profile photo is imported.

The rest is what you put in: your handle, an optional bio and link, the titles you track with their status and progress, your ratings, notes, lists, and settings.

Each sign-in is recorded so you can revoke it: the browser and system your device reports, and when it was last active. IP addresses are not stored.

What is never collected

• No analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers.
• No third-party scripts, here or in the app.
• No location, contacts, or device fingerprinting.
• Nothing sold or shared. There is nobody to sell it to.

Cookies

One cookie, holding your session. Your theme and accent choices sit in your browser and never reach the server. This website sets nothing at all.

Where it lives

One server in Falkenstein, Germany, rented from Hetzner. Google handles the sign-in step under its own privacy policy.

Getting a copy

Settings has a download button. It hands you everything HowFarIn holds about you, as a zip with a full JSON file and a spreadsheet of your library.

Deleting your account

Settings has a delete button. It removes everything, permanently, with no recovery window.
